Miyamoto Engineering's gears
play an active role as the heart of various
industrial equipment.
Head factory
Heat treatment is essential for gears.
After heat treatment, deformation due to heating strain always occurs so that we perform secondary processing by polishing to achieve the precision required by the customer.
At the head factory, we perform the final finishing processing of gears which is outer diameter polishing, inner diameter polishing, and tooth polishing to polish the tooth surfaces of gears.
In addition, at our head factory, we assemble the wrist part of painted robots using gears manufactured in-house.
We are carrying out productivity improvement activities, and our production capacity has reached 150 units/month.
The first factory
The first factory is that processes gear teeth, which is the core of Miyamoto Engineering's manufacturing.
We have 17 gear cutting machines of Kashifuji, 4 gear shaper of Nidec, and 10 bevel gear cutting machines of Tsunashima.
In addition, a total five handling robots of Yaskawa and Nachi are installed on the machines.
Processing is performed automatically 24 hours a day to achieve efficiency.
The second factory
Specializing in small gears, we perform lathe and milling processing from materials in-house.
In order to perform integrated production including machining, gear processing, inspection, and shipping,
We started operating a gear blank processing factory in 2021.
All processing machines are equipped with autoloaders and one is made by Mori Seiki, and two by Takamatsu with two spindles and loader succeed with high productivity.
A distribution warehouse is set up on the second floor of the second factory.
We have consolidated and centrally managed our product inventory,
which was previously stored in various locations, in one place.
This makes it possible to visualize inventory.
We will continue to maintain appropriate inventory and respond to customer delivery dates that change daily.
